WatERP at the TZW newsletter


On September, the German Water Centre has published the issue 2 of its newsletter. The main topics on this new issue are biocides in the water cycle, requirements for metallic materials in contact with drinking water and new test methods for granular activated carbon. In addition, there is an introduction of the EU-funded projects AQUAVALENS and WatERP.

World Water Week


The World Water Week took palce in Stockholm from 1st to 6th September, 2013. During this week, the project WatERP was presented in a stand where professionals from all around Europe could find information about the activities and objectives of the project.

Greek students visited Barcelona


Fifteen Master students in energy management systems and environmental protection of the National Technological University of Athens and the University of Piraeus (Greece) visited the facilities of Barcelona Digital and the MediaTIC building.

In addition, the students also visited the Susqueda reservoir accompanied by the Catalan Water Agency, one of the project partners.

WatERP project review (ICCS)


Two of the research units of ICCS that work on the WatERP project have published in their websites a short summary of the main points and objectives of WatERP.

The Information Management Unit (IMU) is a multi-disciplinary unit engaged in research and development activities in information Technology Management. You can consult the project review by clicking on this link.

The Environmental & Energy Management Unit (EEMRU) is a research group undertaking both educational and research acivities in the areas of water resources management, environmental policy formulation or analysis of energy systems, among others. ICT for water - Networking sessions


Two networking sessions that took place last Thursday, 31st January, 2013 in Brussels.

The first of these sessions was a co-ordination/concentration/consultation meeting on the theme ICT for water management in the context of Smart cities in view of a roadmap for H2020 and beyond.

The objective of the second session was to establish a network in order to carry out joint dissemination activities. The most remarkable action is the intention to organize two events throughout the lifetime of WatERP project in collaboration with all the other on-going projects working in the field of water.

The projects and organizations present at the meeting were: WssTP, UrbanWater, ICeWater, iWIDGET, EFFINET, WatERP, @qua, and UrbanFlood.

ACQUEAU Workshop


The 'ACQUEAU Workshop' will be held on 19 February 2013 in Brussels, Belgium. 

ACQUEAU launches the first edition of its bi-annual workshop. The overall objective of these workshops is to bring together relevant R&D and innovation stakeholders - Large Enterprise, SMEs, Research Centers and public authorities - to develop projects ideas around a selection of water priority issues.
